Uniting 350 Voices for Justice and Safety

Context
In response to rising public safety threats posed by antisemitism, the Government of Canada convened the National Forum on Combatting Antisemitism. Co-chaired by the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, along with the Minister and Associate Minister of Public Safety, and keynote by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the Forum brought together leadership from federal, provincial, and municipal governments, law enforcement, prosecutors, and community stakeholders to strengthen justice-sector responses and foster national collaboration.

Our Role
Colab was engaged to design and facilitate a World Café—a series of participatory roundtable discussions with more than 350 participants. We created a structured yet open process that encouraged meaningful dialogue across diverse perspectives. Our responsibilities included co-developing guiding questions, preparing facilitation materials, leading the session on the day of the Forum, and synthesizing key insights into a clear and actionable report for government leaders.

Outcome
The World Café created space for candid, collaborative conversations among justice officials, law enforcement, and community leaders. Participants identified key legal and systemic challenges, explored opportunities for stronger collaboration, and co-generated actionable recommendations. The process not only strengthened relationships among stakeholders but also produced a set of insights to guide justice-sector strategies in preventing and addressing antisemitism across Canada.
