Guiding Growth: Adaptive Youth Programs

Context
The YWCA is launching a new youth employability initiative aimed at equipping young people with the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to thrive in the workforce. To ensure the program remains adaptive, innovative, and aligned with its goals, YWCA sought support to embed continuous learning and strategic adaptation into its operations.

Our Role
Colab is providing developmental evaluation (DE) advisory services to support the launch and ongoing implementation of the initiative. Our work includes designing and facilitating team kickoff and vision workshops, ongoing team development and alignment sessions, strategy and DE-focused sessions aligned with key program milestones, and monthly leadership coaching and advisory calls. We collaborate closely with the program’s full-time staff to ensure learning, reflection, and adaptation are integrated into day-to-day operations.

Outcome
Through this partnership, the YWCA team is building a strong foundation for cohesion, clarity, and shared vision, while embedding a culture of continuous learning and strategic adaptation. The initiative benefits from structured DE insights, reflective practice, and real-time problem-solving, ensuring that the program can respond effectively to challenges, capitalize on opportunities, and achieve meaningful outcomes for youth participants.
